Proverbs 20:6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?

Proverbs 20:6 (AMP) Many a man proclaims his own loving-kindness and goodness, but a faithful man who can find?

Proverbs 20:6 (MSG) Lots of people claim to be loyal  and loving, but where on earth can you find one?

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Proverbs 31:10 (AMP) A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman–who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. 

Introduction: Calvary greetings to all beloved of the Lord. Welcome to another week of Speaking Scriptures. 

🙏 I pray for the sincere desire of His words as we continue our Christian journey in Jesus name. 

🤔 I have heard severally that marriage is a scam. Women say; men are born cheats, all men are unfaithful. They advise women should NOT check phones of their husbands to avoid heart attack. Mothers tell their daughters to prepare for war in matrimony as men are unfaithful by nature. Men also have impressions that women are not virtuous, that is, they are immoral. “I have heard a proverbial saying that literally means; 201 men belong to a woman, the one on top is her husband.” Some men disallow their wives from working due to this negative indoctrination and belief. Women say if you see a snake and a man, kill the man before the snake and men say the same about women. 

🧖‍♂️ My wife told me she was brought up NOT to trust any man and she prepared for war with defence mechanisms as she was coming into marriage. Probably because I became orphan at younger age, my own indoctrination came from relationship with friends that believed all women are immoral and cunning but God helped me from being indoctrinated with such belief that can easily destroy marriage.

▶️ Now, I observe that for every ten comments on marriage, eight are negative and two positive even among Believers.

❗Therefore, The Way, The Way out, The Way forward and The Way Upward in Blissful matrimony is found by very few because the way to marital Bliss is narrow, few people find and maintain the narrow path while many people find the broad wide way to hell in matrimony. 

Matthew 7:13-14 (GNT) “Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.

▶️ These assertions by men and women about marriage and gender attitudinal beliefs are justifiable considering the rate of divorce and marital calamities in recent times among Christians. As a result, there are many marriage counselors and teachers especially on social media without right standing with God. 

Isaiah 43:27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

▶️ There are pastors and prophets that lead many into marriage claiming to hear from God. And Christians love to consult them for Blissful marriage. What will be the end of such unions?

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

❓As Christians in search of faithful husband and virtuous wife, or Christian parents advising our children, should we rely on spiritual leaders? 

👉 Some submit names of intended spouses to prophets for favourable husband and wife from God and ended up with falsehood and what the Lord has not said, while some see who is to be the spouse in dreams or vision based on idols from their hearts.

Ezekiel 13:6-7(GNT) Their visions are false, and their predictions are lies. They claim that they are speaking my message, but I have not sent them. Yet they expect their words to come true! I tell them: Those visions you see are false, and the predictions you make are lies. You say that they are my words, but I haven’t spoken to you!”

🛑 We are at end times that sound biblical doctrines in marriage and other facets of life are intolerable. The craving for, or desires to hear pleasing and gratifying messages according to dictates of the Flesh is prevalent. 

2 Timothy 4:3 (AMP) For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold,

🛑 The truth is, as the world is advancing, it will become more difficult to find a faithful man and a virtuous woman.

👂Hear prophecy from Micah;

Micah 7:2 The faithful man has perished from the earth, And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net.

🔥 The word of God is becoming obsolete in Gen Z, Y and Alpha generations. Jesus Christ saw the future and said;

Luke 18:8b .. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

❓The question raised from our text today is; 

“Who can find a faithful man and a virtuous woman”?

Proverbs 19:14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

🤔 I had a boss in 1991 who came to my house on a visit. I just got married while he was yet to marry but still enjoying frolicking with girls. After being treated well by my wife, he told me while going, “I will come to your church for Christian woman to marry after my escapades”. 

👉 It  is an error for an unfaithful man to think of getting virtuous woman nor for immoral woman getting faithful man in the church. Unfaithful and immoral ones shall remain in the congregation of the dead and shall be espoused among the dead except understanding is found by God’s mercy. 

Proverbs 21:16 A man who wanders from the way of understanding Will rest in the assembly of the dead.

📢 The answer to finding faithful husband and virtuous wife is simply by righteousness. The righteous who has right standing with God and call upon Him day and night shall find faithful man and virtuous woman. 

Psalms 37:25(AMP) I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.

🛑 No matter how scarce faithful Men and virtuous Women are among children of men, the HELP of the helpless will find one for the righteous.

Psalms 12:1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

🛑 Only God can make a righteous man who pleases Him to escape deadly wife but a sinner or disobedient one cannot escape. 

Ecclesiastes 7:26(AMP) And I found that [of all sinful follies none has been so ruinous in seducing one away from God as idolatrous women] more bitter than death is the woman whose heart is snares and nets and whose hands are bands. Whoever pleases God shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be taken by her.

👉 I strongly believe that any woman with genuine relationship with Jesus Christ will locate a faithful child of God for husband through Him. 

John 1:47(AMP) Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said concerning him, See! Here is an Israelite indeed [a true descendant of Jacob], in whom there is no guile nor deceit nor falsehood nor duplicity!

🛑 No man or woman can escape deception, no matter level of education or Christianity without constant fellowship and communion with God. 

⚠️ Just like the Gibeonites deceived Israel by integrating with them without God’s approval, so also a Christian without regular communion and seeking God will unite in marriage with deceivers. 

Joshua 9:3-4, 6-8,14-15(NLT) But when the people of Gibeon heard what had happened to Jericho and Ai, they resorted to deception to save themselves. They sent ambassadors to Joshua, loading their donkeys with weathered saddlebags and old patched wineskins. When they arrived at the camp of Israel at Gilgal, they told Joshua and the men of Israel, “We have come from a distant land to ask you to make a peace treaty with us.” The Israelites replied to these Hivites, “How do we know you don’t live nearby? For if you do, we cannot make a treaty with you.” They replied, “We will be your servants.” “But who are you?” Joshua demanded. “Where do you come from?” So the Israelite leaders examined their bread, but they did not consult the Lord. Then Joshua went ahead and signed a peace treaty with them, and the leaders of Israel ratified their agreement with a binding oath.

👉 Many are married to unfaithful man and immoral woman because they did not consult with the Lord and have personal relationship with Him; and are desperate to marry. Do not rely on pastors and prophets to choose your spouse for you because they are also human, that is why Jesus Christ removed the veil of the Temple so that Believers can have direct access to God in ALL issues of life.

Matthew 27:51a Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom;

🛑 Never underestimate Human nature, Until a Christian possesses the Holy Spirit, he/she cannot be faithful but will fail in temptations and adversities. 

▶️ Peter boasted to die with Jesus Christ but denied Him in times of trouble. 

Luke 22:33-34 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

▶️ Any successful marriage with faithful husband and virtuous wife Unknowingly has invisible Hands of God for directions due to obedience on their part.

✍ Finally brethren, to find and maintain faithfulness as Christian husbands and virtuous wife, there MUST be constant fellowship with God. Satan desires to sift and destroy Christian marriages as we can witness his activities this end times. 

Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

✋ Maranatha
