The Judgment Day
Mark 6:11 And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
Introduction: Calvary greetings to all my beloved brethren.
🙏 May we not be a castaway after telling others about salvation in Jesus name.
⚠️ Anyone with the habits of glancing over quoted Scriptures here will NOT allow God’s word to speak to him/her personally. Let Scriptures speak to you for there is tendency to skip Scriptures that you have read before but the words of God are new daily.
🤔 I was watching 13hours judgment of the tribunal on presidential electoral petition tagged “The judgment day“. It occurred to me that the whole world will ultimately and individually face judgment to determine where to live forever.
There is an appointed day of judgment and the Judge is Jesus Christ.
Acts 17:30-31(GNT) God has overlooked the times when people did not know him, but now he commands all of them everywhere to turn away from their evil ways. For he has fixed a day in which he will judge the whole world with justice by means of a man he has chosen. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising that man from death!”
👉 All the dead from Adam to that day will stand before God to be judged.
John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Revelation 20:13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
👉 On that day, known as the final judgment, to be determined by the Creator of Heaven and Earth, there will be NO hiding place even though there will be desire to run away.
Revelation 20:11(NLT) And I saw a great white throne, and I saw the one who was sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide.
▶️ There are two books before the Judge. One called the Books, containing all individual’s activities from cradle to death. The other book is the Lamb’s Book of Life containing those who received life from Jesus Christ in place of death inherited by all from Adam.
Revelation 20:12(AMP) I [also] saw the dead, great and small; they stood before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is [the Book] of Life. And the dead were judged (sentenced) by what they had done [their whole way of feeling and acting, their aims and endeavors] in accordance with what was recorded in the books.
🛑 Those whose name is not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will live forever in Hell.
Revelation 20:15(AMP) And if anyone’s [name] was not found recorded in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire.
🛑 Please note that names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life can be erased. If as a soldier of Jesus Christ, enlisted in HIS army when we voluntarily accepted Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and do not overcome the Flesh and temptations of the World at the time of death, then such names will be blotted out from the Book of Life. In other words, a Christian’s name who dies carnally will be erased from the Book of Life.
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 8:6(AMP) Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
🛑 The names of those Christians no matter their rank in Jesus’s Army, will be missing in the Book of Life, if they allowed Flesh or Human nature to defeat them by the time of rapture or death.
Revelation 3:5 (AMP) Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels.
▶️ Knowing that any Christian who cannot put Flesh, Sinful or Human/Adamic nature under control or subjection of the Spirit can be disqualified, Apostle Paul took this decision as recorded for our admonition.
1 Corinthians 9:27(NLT) I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.
👉 Because Flesh is corruptible, no one who dies under the rulership of the Flesh/Human nature will be allowed in the Kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
🤔 Do you remember that there was Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden for Adam and Eve to eat? But they were deceived and chose to eat the forbidden fruit that brought death to humanity.
🛑 God’s Love for humanity He created brought back Life through His ONLY begotten Son for whosoever will choose to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood.
🗣 John 3:16 (AMP) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
👂Hear the source of Life Himself stating unambiguously the acquisition of Life for whosoever wishes.
John 6:51,53-54, 56(AMP) I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body). And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood]. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him.
🛑 On the Judgment Day, justification and condemnation will be based on whether Jesus Christ the Truth and the Life is accepted, that is; believes in, trusts in, clings to, relies on or NOT.
John 3:17-21(AMP) For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation–he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.] The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil. For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved. But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are–wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].
🛑 Therefore, on the Judgment Day, condemnation is determined by whether one dies in Christ Jesus or NOT.
Romans 8:1(AMP) THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.
🛑 The One who dictated the course of our lives is the ONLY prerequisite to; justification (if led by the Spirit) or condemnation (if led by the Flesh or Human nature) on the Judgment Day.
▶️ Judgment will be based on the hidden thoughts of minds which is known ONLY to God and individual to be judged. No man can know what is in the mind of men by looking at the countenance.
Romans 2:16 On that day when, as my Gospel proclaims, God by Jesus Christ will judge men in regard to the things which they conceal (their hidden thoughts).
▶️ For those of us with eternal judgment in view, it is important to daily renew our minds by the words of God in order to do His Will and avoid conformity to worldly lifestyles.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
👉 Dearly beloved, there is a Judgment Day. Sin flourishes in the absence of believing in Jesus Christ, that is, clinging to, trusting in, and relying on Him. The resultant effect of SIN is Death. Escaping death despite secret sins by Christians is because of God’s patience with us to repent and avoid eternal damnation. God is NOT slack.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
🛑 Do not take God’s tolerance for granted by continuing in sins that are not obvious to man but opened to God. Unrepented sins before rapture or death will bring condemnation on the Judgment Day.
Romans 2:4-11(NLT) Don’t you realize how kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Or don’t you care? Can’t you see how kind he has been in giving you time to turn from your sin? But no, you won’t listen. So you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself because of your stubbornness in refusing to turn from your sin. For there is going to come a day of judgment when God, the just judge of all the world, will judge all people according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on sinning—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.
✍ Finally brethren, conclusion of the whole matter to avoid condemnation on the Judgment Day is based on God’s requirements for us as Christians; Fear Him, Love Him, Obey Him, Please Him and Serve Him. (F.L.O.P.S.) Deut. 10:12-13.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
