Abominations of the Earth
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 18:22(NLT) “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.
Leviticus 18:22(GNS) No man is to have sexual relations with another man; God hates that.
Leviticus 18:22(MSG) “Don’t have sex with a man as one does with a woman. That is abhorrent.

I pray that Holy Spirit will fill us with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding in Jesus name.
This week, we want to look at homosexuality, one of the abominations of the Earth. Some countries of the world have legalized homosexuality and forbid condemnation of it from anyone. It amounts to discrimination and violations of human rights. This is predicted in the Scriptures.
Hear what Apostle Paul told Timothy as Scriptures speak
2 Timothy 3:1-5(NLT) You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Abominations are things hateful to God. We ought to know what is hateful to God as believers, so as not to be partakers of what God hates.
There is tendency to justify homosexuality especially when we find ourselves living in the countries where homosexuality is legalized.
Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Looking at what Scriptures speak in our text today, homosexuality is an abomination to God. It is a detestable sin.

🛑 Any Christian with the knowledge of God’s judgment on Homosexuals and has pleasure in homosexuality, or be in company with Homosexuals, will also be partakers of death as the wages of sin.
Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
🛑 Scriptures reveal to Christians about abominations of the Earth in which dwellers of the EARTH are drunken with.
Revelation 17:1-2,4-5 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Genuinely born again Christians are inexcusable about these abominations. Christians cannot be silent, be involved or support homosexuality because Christians are to hate what God hates.

Hear prayers of Jesus for His Disciples
John 17:15-16 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Homosexuality is one of the activities of darkness that whosoever is a follower of Christ should not comprehend works of darkness but extinguishes it.
John 8:12(NLT) Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
🛑 Inhabitants of the Earth cannot understand why Christians should condemn homosexuality because their spirit is dead unlike Christians with quickened spirit who discloses the truth.
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Some Christians know that God hates homosexuality but for the love of the world, they mingle with Homosexuals without condemning the act thereby sinners love their type of Christianity. These Christians are categorized to be part of the world.
John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Truly, anyone who determines to obey God’s word anywhere at all cost will be hated by the world because Christian’s mannerisms differ from worldly mannerisms.
John 17:14(NLT) I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
Any Christian found to be involved in homosexuality for whatever reasons will be abandoned by God to do whatever he/she desires. That person may be hailed or admired by the world like Bobby Risky but he/she is condemned by God.
Romans 1:26-28 (NLT) That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.
✍ Finally brethren, let us examine ourselves while still living if there is any areas of our lives by which we still hang-out with those who commit abominations of the earth so as to retrace our steps back to God in order to flourish as we journey towards eternity with God.

Instead you thrill to GOD’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, Never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

All of the things which are seen as abominations, like homosexuality, suicide, disrespect to elders, fraudulent acts have now become the order of the day all in the name of living a life of independence. May God help us and our future generations. Amen
Amen. It’s just a sign of the end times as predicted by the Scriptures. Pastor Adeboye spoke about one of RCCG pastor that was arrested for saying; Ladies and Gentlemen in a gathering abroad and the Gays who are neither a ladies or gentlemen reported that the pastor discriminated and trampled on their right. It’s going to get worse before the coming of our Lord and Saviour. We just need to hold tight to God by His words so that our love for Him will not wax cold before Christ comes. God bless you
