The Word in our Palms
Deuteronomy 30:11-14 (NLT) “This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand or perform. It is not up in heaven, so distant that you must ask, ‘Who will go to heaven and bring it down so we can hear and obey it?’ It is not beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear and obey it?’ The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it.
Introduction: Glory be to God in the highest as we see another week of Speaking Scriptures. Isaiah prophesied that the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.
🛑 The Bible, known as the Word of God, also called the Scriptures, the law or God’s commandments or decree that we have in hard and soft copy did not happen on the platter of gold, Satan resisted the availability but failed.
🤔 Remember when Moses brought the first written commandments with God’s Handwriting, it was broken into pieces as Satan had orchestrated idol worship for God’s chosen ones and stirred up anger in Moses to destroy God’s handwritten words.
Exodus 32:7-8;15-16;19(NLT) Then the Lord told Moses, “Quick! Go down the mountain! The people you brought from Egypt have defiled themselves. They have already turned from the way I commanded them to live. They have made an idol shaped like a calf, and they have worshiped and sacrificed to it. They are saying, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you out of Egypt.’ “Then Moses turned and went down the mountain. He held in his hands the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back. These stone tablets were God’s work; the words on them were written by God himself. When they came near the camp, Moses saw the calf and the dancing. In terrible anger, he threw the stone tablets to the ground, smashing them at the foot of the mountain.
▶️ God fulfilled His promises as regards placing His words in the palms of our hands.
Habakkuk 2:14(AMP) But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
▶️ We are now at the time that Scriptures are accessed easily through various media including our phones.
🛑 Satan relentlessly makes Christians to abandon or ignore the Scriptures made available in the palms of our hands to keep us in bondage.
⚠️ God warned His chosen ones as He is warning Christians now about neglecting His words in our comfort zone.
Deuteronomy 6:4-12 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
🛑 Whether we read and hear or refuse will NEVER deny Speaking Scriptures among Christians.
Ezekiel 2:5 As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse—for they are a rebellious house —yet they will know that a prophet has been among them.
▶️ The Bible is the Basic Instruction Before Living the Earth meant ONLY for Christians.
Psalms 147:19(GNT) He gives his message to his people, his instructions and laws to Israel.
▶️ God’s word should not be a parable or secret to Christians but the word gives light to do what is right.
Isaiah 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
🛑 Satan knows that Christians that desire God’s words shall be made perfect, wiser, righteous, with great rewards, therefore he gives what brings excitement into our lives through same device that contains God’s words and keep unsuspecting Believers in bondage.
Psalms 19:7-11 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
▶️ Only those who carefully search, keep and obey His words without evil compromise are happy.
Psalms 119:2-4 Happy are those who obey his decrees and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully.
🛑 God in His Mercy and wisdom has made Scriptures available in our hands. It is scary but true that those who despise and treat God’s words scornfully are devoured like fire devours dry grass.
Isaiah 5:24(AMP) Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be like rottenness and their blossom shall go up like fine dust–because they have rejected and cast away the law and the teaching of the Lord of hosts and have not believed but have treated scornfully and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
🛑 To neglect God’s word creates a stony heart which incurs the wrath of God.
Zechariah 7:12 (NLT) They made their hearts as hard as stone, so they could not hear the law or the messages that the Lord Almighty had sent them by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. That is why the Lord Almighty was so angry with them.
▶️ The Word in the Palms of our Hands is forever settled and stands firm.
Psalms 119:89 (AMP) Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [stands firm as the heavens].
1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
🛑 We are to live by The Word in the Palms of our Hands which proceeds from God’s mouth.
Deuteronomy 8:3 (AMP) And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
🛑 We are to esteem God’s words in the Palms of our Hands more than anything in this world.
Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
🛑 Sorrow and suicidal thoughts shall NEVER be found in the hearts of those who eat God’s word in the Palms of our Hands.
Jeremiah 15:16(AMP) Your words were found, and I ate them; and Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.
🛑 Complete and genuine salvation can ONLY be found in those who desire God’s word in the Palms of our Hands.
1 Peter 2:2(AMP) Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation,
✍ Finally brethren, the moment we find ourselves more attracted to other things alongside God’s word in the Palms of our Hands, let us know that Satan is planning to divert our attention away from God’s word that is inspirational and profitable for instruction, correction, reproof and conviction of sin which equips us towards perfection.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (AMP) Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
👉 This is why God ensures that His words are near to us and in the Palms of our Hands.
Romans 10:8(AMP) But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach,
